One of Moab’s finest old honky tonk musicians passed into picker heaven on Thursday, May 21, at his home.
Born May 9, 1927, in Haskell, Texas, Clint later moved to California.
Clint leaves behind the love of his life, Carlyn (Allred) Spinks. They were married in 1985 and renewed their vows in 2000. Clint leaves two stepsons, Robert Buckingham (Janet), and Tim Buckingham (Sherrie); three grandchildren, Justin, Rachel and Ian Buckingham; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister, and is survived by sister, Bonnie Martin, of Delaware. Army and was active in the local VFW Post.
The night before his death friends and family gathered around him and sang some of Clint’s favorite songs. His happy spirit and ready smile will live on in Moab; he will be missed by many.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ken Williams and Mel Sakrison for their great care of Clint over the years, and especially wants to thank Grand County Hospice for their attentive assistance during his last days.
