TRENTON Bishop David M. The event took place in St. Mary of the Assumption Cathedral, Trenton.
Ordained as transitional deacons in 2012, the four men successfully completed their formation in divinity and systematic theology from a number of different seminaries serving the diocese. Standing before their loved ones and representatives of the many parish communities in which they have served as seminarians, they pledged obedience to Bishop O Connell and dedication to their vocation as the newest priests of the diocese. They begin their priestly assignments as parochial vicars associate pastors on June 29.
Rev. Mr. Garry Koch, age 55, was born in Allentown, Pa., and served as a religion studies teacher in Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, for 28 years. He will begin his priestly ministry in St. Joseph Parish, Toms River.
Rev. Mr. Juan Rojas, age 28, is a native of Betulia, Colombia. He is assigned to St. Mary Parish, Medford.

It is the biggest gift God has blessed me with, said the new priests Rev. Aguirre. Being ordained as a priest it bring to a culmination the long and reverent journey to the priesthood that commenced in his childhood home in Colombia.
