A two vehicle accident that claimed the life of Dr. Dreama Rucker remains under investigation by the Menifee County Sheriff’s Office. Friday, Dec. 23,
on KY 36 near Craig Hill in Menifee County.
Reports indicate that another person was injured in the accident and flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, but that person’s condition is currently unavailable.
Menifee County sheriff, says a toxicology report has been requested,
and the results are still pending.
Rucker was a physician at the Frenchburg clinic of St. Claire Regional Medical Center.
According to SCR’s website, “Dr. Rucker was a great physician and leader. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. On behalf of everyone at SCR,
we extend our prayers and deepest condolences to her family and friends, and the many colleagues whose lives she touched.”
SCR released the following statement on Thursday, addressed to Rucker’s patients:
“St. Claire Regional Medical Center is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Dreama Rucker. We understand the concerns many of you may have about your health care needs. Please be assured that St. Claire Regional Family Medicine remains committed to the Frenchburg community and will continue to provide you with high quality health care. Office visits will be provided by St. Claire Regional Medical Staff and medication refills will continue to be addressed promptly.
