Local leaders in Harrisburg for today address are impressed with the governor words. County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper and Mayor Joe Schember drove to the state capital together to attend the address and have lunch with the governor.
Both say they are pleased with the governor plan, speaking on key issues that matter to Erie,
such as workforce development and the educational system. Dahlkemper says, “those are two key elements in Erie County that we are working on and any help we can get from the state is obviously essential to all the good work that is happening in our region”.
Representative Ryan Bizzarro (D) 3rd District,
says, “I think it hit home on many of the areas that a lot of us are looking to see improvements in. In terms of investing more money in education,
and in terms of workforce development programs, particularly when we are looking at small businesses as well,
there was additional tax incentives here in PA. So, although this is a blueprint,
I am very eager to work with my colleagues and put this plan into action.”
